Transfer and Academic Articulations & Agreements

ËÄÉ«AV of New Haven is proud to partner with community colleges across Connecticut and other entities to create clear and seamless transfer pathways for students. Through these collaborations, your completed courses, exams, and professional certifications can be applied directly toward your bachelor’s degree requirements.

With over 250 transfer students enrolling each year, generous merit scholarships ranging from $15,000 to $33,000 annually, and a strong commitment to career development and student success, we are thrilled to welcome transfer students to our vibrant campus community.

We currently have transfer agreements with:

Connecticut College of Technology (CT)
  • If you are currently enrolled in a Connecticut community college pursuing your A.S. in Engineering Science, consider continuing your educational journey at the University of New Haven. Our transfer pathways are designed to help you complete your B.S. degree faster by ensuring your A.S. coursework aligns directly with our engineering programs.

    At the University of New Haven, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience through opportunities such as prototyping in our makerspace, participating in student competitions, conducting undergraduate research, and joining our active mentoring community.

    Submitting the transfer intent form before completing 12 credits towards your A.S. will allow you to one take University of New Haven on-campus course each year, free of charge, as a non-matriculated part-time student (maximum of three courses). This can help you complete and earn credit for prerequisites that may not be offered at the community college.

    Complete your A.S. degree with a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA, and satisfy University of New Haven transfer admission requirements, enrollment policies, and corresponding deadlines, and you will be guaranteed admission to one of the following majors: Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering.


CT Transfer Guarantee/Articulation
  • As a proud partner of the Connecticut Transfer Guarantee (CT Guarantee), the University of New Haven provides a seamless transfer opportunity for eligible Connecticut community college graduates — with guaranteed admission to participating programs. Students who earn an associate degree from a Connecticut community college with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 can take advantage of this direct pathway to completing their bachelor’s degree at the University of New Haven.

    Through the CT Guarantee, eligible students enjoy valuable benefits, including no application fee, guaranteed admission (with select program exclusions), and transfer pathways that help eliminate excess credit loss. Please note that majors within the Tagliatela College of Engineering, Forensic Science, Fire Protection Engineering, and the School of Health Sciences are excluded.

New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI)
  • Available National Security department undergraduate degrees include Security & Defense Policy, Intelligence Analysis, Homeland Security, and International Affairs (on campus only).

    New Mexico Military Institute students who have successfully completed the three UNewHaven National Security courses via the High School/Junior College Pathway Program may then apply to one of four UNewHaven National Security department degrees (see above) and transfer all prior undergraduate credits into the degree.

    NMMI credits will transfer into UNewHaven undergraduate degree per the curriculum.

    New Mexico Military Institute students may complete one of four UNewHaven National Security department degrees (see above) subject to the discounted tuition rate specified below in Section IV.

Wilton Ambulance Service – Wilton, NH
  • Wilton Ambulance students applying to UNewHaven must meet UNewHaven admissions criteria, and, if accepted, would receive a tuition scholarship of 50% per course for online and on-campus (West Haven) study. Please note that the 50% scholarship does not apply to programs taught through third party (OPM) providers. Scholarships would be renewable for up to four full academic years. Scholars must meet all requirements established by Wilton Ambulance, and this award would be known as the University of New Haven/ Wilton Ambulance scholarship, funded by UNewHaven. Accepted students would also be eligible for additional need-based aid from UNewHaven as well as any state or federal aid for which they may qualify.
