University of New Haven Appoints Former Quinnipiac Executive as Vice President of Operations and Student Success

Vice President for Admissions and Financial Aid at Quinnipiac University tapped for newly created position at University of New Haven.

ËÄÉ«AV of New Haven announced today that, as of July 1, Gregory E. Eichhorn has joined the University as vice president of operations and student success.

"Greg has both the professional experience and personal qualities to lead the University’s student success efforts and help to advance our reputation, both nationally and internationally," said University of New Haven President Steven H. Kaplan. "His demonstrated leadership and student-centered approach will add outstanding strength to the University as we focus our efforts on building and shaping an engaged student body," he added.

As vice president for admissions and financial aid at Quinnipiac, Eichhorn oversaw undergraduate and graduate admissions and university-wide financial aid for a total enrollment of approximately 10,000 students. He led a 46-member team with 19 direct reports, and served as the chair of the faculty enrollment advisory group. He also led the integration of a financial-aid leveraging model to manage the discount rate (5 points below the national private university average) and improve net tuition revenue.

Prior to joining Quinnipiac in 2016, Eichhorn worked at Albright College in Pennsylvania for 23 years, most recently as vice president of enrollment management and dean of admissions. In that role, he oversaw an enrollment division comprising admissions, financial aid, retention, athletics, camps, and conferences. Under his leadership, enrollment increased from 926 students to more than 2,400 through improvements in recruitment and retention strategies.

Eichhorn earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing, with a minor in economics, from Fairfield University and an MBA in management from Hofstra University.
