About Sarah
Sarah P. Shultz, Ph.D., serves as Dean of the School of Health Sciences at the University of New Haven. A scholar, educator, and academic leader, Dr. Shultz has held leadership positions across a range of higher education institutions in the United States and New Zealand, including roles as dean, associate dean, and department chair.
Her work has focused on advancing student success, strengthening academic programs, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and building meaningful partnerships between universities and the communities they serve. Trained as a biomechanist, Dr. Shultz's research has explored musculoskeletal health, physical activity, obesity, and community-based approaches to health and wellness.
As Dean, Dr. Shultz is committed to preparing students to lead, innovate, and improve health outcomes in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.
