Financial Wellness Focus: Holiday Saving Made Simple
|
|
|
The holiday season is fun—but it can get expensive fast. A little planning now can help you enjoy the celebrations without the January stress. Here are a few quick tips:
Set a spending limit. Decide how much you can afford for gifts, travel, and events. A simple budget keeps you on track.
Save a little each week. Even $10–$20 adds up quickly. Consider setting up an automatic transfer to a small “holiday fund.”
Watch for deals. Take advantage of student discounts, sales, and campus promotions to stretch your budget.
Choose meaningful, low-cost gifts. DIY items, baked goods, or shared experiences can be thoughtful without being pricey.
Skip the debt. Use cash or debit when possible, and avoid taking on credit card bills you’ll regret later.
A bit of planning goes a long way—start now and enjoy a stress-free, financially healthy holiday season!
